The Goddess of Ice

The Goddess of Ice

The Goddess of Ice,
The controller of ice,
The creator of ice.

She and her cousin Water,
Give each other the cold shoulder.
It never seems to falter.

The beauty of Ice’s hair,
Her pearly white hair,
Gleaming in the moon’s glare.

The beauty of her eyes,
Her light grey eyes,
Watching the snow.

When she’s mad,
The snow turns,
To hail.

When she’s sad,
The snow rushes,
And becomes a blizzard.

When she’s happy,
The snow,
Gently falls.

Her attacks,
Are strong,
And deadly.

Her eyes glow,
Her arms rise,
The snow swirls and becomes sharp ice!

Her arms lower,
The snow rushes towards the target.
A deadly blow.

The she is gentle,
And she goes away.
Disappears into the snow.

The Goddess of Ice,
The controller of ice,
The creator of ice.

The Goddess of Nature

The Goddess of Nature

The flowers, the trees.
Created by one woman;
The Goddess of Nature.

She protects the flowers,
And the trees.
She laughs with the birds,
And runs with the bees.

She controls the seasons,
To represent the others.
Her beauty is shown,
In the plants; in the flowers.

Her glistening brown hair,
Highlights of green,
Flow as she runs with the hares.

Her brown eyes glisten.
As she runs in the fields;
She lays in the grass.

She is angry,
When people cut down trees.
The plants and animals comfort her,
But she still cries.

The Wind brings her flowers.
Nature smiles and is back on her feet.
She is ready to get through the rest of the day.
She continues to play with the animals.

Her happiness causes everything to bloom.
She is kind and gentle;
She hides in the trees.

The flowers, the trees.
Created by one woman;
The Goddess of Nature.

The Goddess of the Flames

The Goddess of the Flames

The fires!

Controlled by the goddess,
The inventor of the flames,
The wielder of the heat.

Her eyes make her look evil.
The red flames in her eyes,
Can be angered easily.

When angered,
Volcanoes erupt,
Cities crumble.

Never sad, though.
If there is a forest fire, she helps put it out.
If angry, makes it worse!

When filled with happiness,
She helps the campers with their campfires.
Then becomes upset when it is doused with water.

Her attack,
Deadly,
Frightening.

Her eyes become blood red,
She is engulfed in flames,
She puts her hands out in front.

Whoosh!
The fires shoot out of her hands!
They zoom onto their target.
The burning victim shall never again see water.

Hard to believe,
But she then becomes calm.
And somewhat kind.

She disappears in a puff of smoke,
Where she was standing,
She is no more.
Her beauty to be seen,

Another day.

The Goddess of the Seas

The Goddess of the Seas

The ocean,
The gentleness of the seas.
Controlled by one woman;
The Goddess of the Seas.

Her beauty is hated by the Fire.
Her magnificent hair is the blue of the cleanest water.
The blueness of her eyes, a bright blue,
Brings out the jealousy of the Skies.

Always stopping the fires,
And scolding the Flames,
Her anger causes massive waves.

When defending herself is needed,
Her eyes begin to glow,
Which disturbs the oceans’ flow.
Water rises into the air,
Surrounding their creator.

The water charges the predator,
Giving them no chance to surrender.
The idiot falls over a cliff,
Into the massive wall of waves below.

Gentle and kind is easy to find,
A bright smile, then a smirk.
She dives into the gentle waves,
Breaking into water droplets.

Rules of the Blog

Rules of the Blog

The English language is an interesting thing.
Sometimes, new words are added on a whim.
Definitions change; some words are just for show;
But that is what happens as a society grows.

But, here, I wish to explain,
What is bringing us all great pain.
Today, grammar is a scarce thing;
Because of this “texting” thing.

Abbreviations make us forget,
What teachers are trying to make our minds get.
And “like” is not a synonym for “said,”
Using it in that manner makes intelligence seem dead.

On this blog there will be poetry, stories, and reviews,
I hope they will teach you a thing or two.
But this is a place of learning and growth;
So I want you to take an oath.

I swear I will comment and critique with fairness;
I swear I will comment if I have questions.
I swear I will treat people with dignity and respect,
For, if I do not, the comment will be a reject.

Those are the rules, so simple and so few,
Hopefully, they will be enough for you.
Education is important as you shall see,
For strong and empowered you shall be.

The Sister Goddesses of Lightning and Thunder

The Sister Goddesses of Lightning and Thunder

BOOM!
CRASH!

Lightning is striking, thunder is crashing.
The exquisiteness is great.
Created by two women,
Of beauty and grace.

The Goddess of Lightning,
With her sister of Thunder,
They work together,
Every hour.

Their yellow hair,
They yellow hawk eyes,
Are an attractive sight.

They are Water’s weakness,
And also Water’s friends.
Always there to protect,
But sometimes can’t control.

Once in frustration,
Tornadoes and hurricanes formed,
Oh, the aggravation.

While sad,
There is simply thunder,
And quick flashes of lightning.

Whilst happy,
It is a sunny day.

The lightning bolts are deadly,
As everyone knows.
Beware.

When it hits you,
You will breathe your last,
And perish.

Back to the sunny day,
Everything is peaceful.
It shall be so for a while.

Lightning is striking, thunder is crashing.
The exquisiteness is great.
Created by two women,
Of beauty and grace.

The Goddess of Lightning,
With her sister of Thunder,
They work together,
Every hour.

What Did I Do?

What Did I Do?

It’s wet.
It burns.
I run.
I’m shot again.
I… run…
can’t…
on my back…
twitching…
What… did I… do?

I watch as it writhes.
I watch as the spider writhes.
I just can’t help but watch.
I’m causing this pain.
It’s fighting for its life.
I’m causing this pain.
I then think about the pain I’m in.
I then think about the pain that I caused.
Am now causing.

It’s writhing…
I’m hoping it will win…
I want it to win…
It didn’t deserve that!
The poor thing…

Just like I didn’t deserve my pain…
I didn’t do anything wrong!
The spider didn’t do anything wrong!
And I can’t even apologize!
It probably wouldn’t even hear me!
It’s burning!

Is that what’s going to happen to me?
Am I going to receive the apology I am hoping for on my deathbed?
When I die?
When it won’t even matter, when I can’t even hear it?

Are those who hurt me going to feel my pain of being unable to apologize?
Are they never going to feel release?
Just like me?
Are they to feel my pain?

My pain…
It’s writhing…
It’s in so much pain…
I didn’t deserve that…
We didn’t deserve that…
It didn’t deserve that…

What… did I… do?

I’m so sorry…
